San Diego Golf Courses

San Diego Golf CoursesMany golf enthusiasts pick San Diego’s exquisite golf courses to tee-up. The city has over 90 golf courses, each with beautiful scenery and different settings. Famous golfers, together with the best landscape architects in the country, design many of these magnificent golf courses.

If you want to impress your buddies before hitting the course, San Diego has numerous golf schools and academies to help you with your swing. And that can help you lower your score in just a couple of days of lessons.

Maderas Golf Club

The Maderas Golf Club was rated #1 golf course by the Zagat survey, five years in a row.

This golf course is beautiful and challenging at the same time. Because of the cliffs, rocks, creeks and forest inland rolling hills, it is more challenging.

As usual, the fee depends on what time and day you’re going to play. You need to make reservations up to 60 days in advance.

Torrey Pines Golf Course

The Torrey Pines Golf Course is the home of the PGA Buick Invitational and will be hosting the 2008 US Open.

It features two 18-hole golf courses, the North Course and the South Course. It is one of the best public golf courses in the country.

The view is awesome. You have the Pacific Ocean on the west and the mountains on the east.

You can make your reservations 8-90 days in advance.

Barona Creek Golf Club

The Barona Creek Golf Club offers five different tee settings. Whether you’re a beginner or a professional golfer, this golf course will accommodate players in every skill level.

The rugged landscaping is quite charming. I love the sound of the water flowing down the creek and the California oak trees at its finest.

So you know, many of the best golf equipment manufacturers are based in San Diego’s North County, such as Titleist and Calloway. You can find the best clubs and golf accessories there.
